You have the right to delete your MenurutLo account and all associated data at any time. This page explains your options.
Option 1: Delete Account In-App (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account:
- Open the MenurutLo app
- Go to Profile → Settings
- Scroll to Account section
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm with your password or biometric
Your account is deactivated immediately. All data is permanently purged within 30 days.
Option 2: Request Deletion by Email
If you cannot access the app, email us at privacy@menurutlo.com with subject "Account Deletion Request".
Include in your email:
- Your registered email address or phone number
- Your username (if known)
We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 calendar days. You will receive a confirmation email when complete.
What Gets Deleted
- Your profile, photos, and bio
- All posts, stories, videos, and comments you created
- All Testimoni you sent or received
- All Ask questions and votes
- Your points balance, badges, and rewards history
- Direct message history
- Your device tokens and push notification subscriptions
What May Be Retained
- Moderation records: If your account was involved in a moderation action, a minimal record may be retained for up to 12 months to prevent abuse.
- Research participation records: Aggregated, anonymized survey responses already submitted to research partners cannot be recalled.
- Legal obligations: Data we are required to retain by Indonesian law.
Unsubscribe from Notifications
To stop receiving email or push notifications without deleting your account:
- Push notifications: Settings → Notifications → toggle off individual notification types, or disable all in your phone's app settings
- Email notifications: Click the unsubscribe link in any MenurutLo email, or go to Settings → Notifications → Email
- All marketing emails: Email us to be removed from all marketing communications
Premium Subscription Cancellation
If you are on MenurutLo Pro, cancel your subscription before deleting your account to avoid further charges. Go to Settings → Subscription → Cancel Plan.
Subscriptions are managed through Midtrans. You may also cancel directly through your bank or payment provider.
